Love Dance
Bergen has long been a haven for purveyors of exquisite music and Love Dance seem to be continuing this tradition with distinction.

Adolescent
Tip top remixing action from Brighton's Adolescent reworking a track from Michael A Grammar. Sombre-hop is the order of the day and it definitely is a sub genre i'd be investigating further if I hadn't just made it up.

Lovepark
Squeeky clean sounding pop from London's Lovepark. Just what is needed after a heavy weekend. Purifying harmonies will do the trick.

Dolphins
The path trodden by Chicago's Dolphins is one of heady blissfullness and whilst we almost can't move for purveyors of similar sounds, it is rarely carried off with such aplomb.

Sailor and I
Chamber pop from Sweden, Europes alpha originator of expertly crafted songwriting. Sailor and I have that timeless sound which usually comes with a surfeit of capability.

Splashh
Combine Deerhunter's wasted haze with the fuzzy pop of Gross Magic and you'll go somewhere to reaching the brilliance being displayed on early releases by London's Splashh.

Sleep Makes Waves
Another band which knocked our socks off last night were Aussie post rockers Sleep Makes Waves. Explosions in the Sky instantly spring to mind as a comparison but in the tiny rickety bar where they were playing some of the crescendos they reached seemed likely to literally bring the house down.

Little Lo
More delights from SXSW...saw Little Lo last night and was well impressed with their rousing performance. The Austin based band showed a nice line in full blooded ensemble pop.

The Late Great Fitzcarraldos
Danish lounge pop anyone? First of our posts from Austin and before we've actually seen any bands. Amongst the 2000 odd bands out here this name piqued our interest and we are not disappointed with this tremendous slice of smoothness, extra credit for the subtle steel drum.

Mother Ganga
More goodness from north of Hadrians wall, again hailing from the mercurial and turbulent environs of Glasgow. Weirdo analogue electronica at its finest...

Happy Particles
Lurking in Glasgow for many moons apparently. Nae bother, their debut record is deserving of far more attention than it is getting. Low, Mazzy Star and other pedlars of sublime slowies spring to mind.
