Some Army

All hail a simple triumph of songwriting here from North Carolina's Some Army. Smouldering chamber pop par excellence.

Observer Drift

Observer Drift the project of Collin Ward possesses a sound steeped in the same ultra melodic wistfulness which has served the likes of Wild Nothing and Craft Spells so well. Buy the whole album at his bandcamp page.

Wild Belle

Mysterious skanking and parping from Chicago is the order of today. Natalie Bergman aka Wild Belle must have been hiding her light under a humungous bushel as this is a ready made monster.

High Highs by rocketmusic

Also recently on our radar is the re-issue of Should's 1995 album 'A Folding Sieve' which is on the ever excellent Captured Tracks label

Races

Wide in scope and brooding in nature but perfectly formed nonetheless. Los Angeles' Races will be releasing an album in 2012.

Like a Stuntman

Gloriously scattershot germanic propulsion on the new album from this genre defying troop, think Working for a Nuclear Free City, The Notwist, Everything Everything, Why?...

Field Music

Yikes, new Field Music has just jolted us from a temporary hibernation. Always a cause for celebration when they release something new.
