JJ Verne
We featured a track by Van Orange a couple of years ago. Now the man behing Van Orange is back as JJ Verne.

Adult Jazz
The best song about dogs since Gorkys Zygotic Mynci released 'Poodle Rockin'. Another highlight from the impending Adult Jazz LP 'Gist Is'.

Joey Fourr
Ultra curious produce on offer from the ex-Tubelord man Joseph Prendergast glorying in the moniker Joey Fourr.
Cemeteries
Hushed majesty is the forte of Kyle Reigle the man behind Cemeteries. His contribution to Track and Field's Summer Compilation fits the bill.

Wrinkles
Patently a band that don't take themselves too seriously, we called Wrinkles previous release the slackest of all slacker pop and now we have nowhere to go. Again the ramshackle charm wins out.
The Nights
Last summer we took a shine to the 'After Hours' EP by Sydney outfit The Nights. Thankfully they have now followed it up with this slow burning demo 'Greatest'.
Palace Winter
A collaboration between Caspar Hesselager of My Heart The Brave and Carl Coleman of Sink Ships. This is the first single from their upcoming EP.

Horsebeach
The full Horsebeach LP is now streaming on Soundcloud ahead of its release next week. Here is another choice cut from it.
St Tropez
A third instalment of kaleidoscopic voyaging from St Tropez, following on from the excellent 'Maybe Nothing' and 'In Pictures'.

Winter Drones
Not content with membership of Still Corners and Hush Arbors, Leon Dufficy ploughs his own furrow to great effect as Winter Drones.
Absolutely Free
The soundtrack to a candlelit meeting of some 60s utopian sect or the new record from Absolutely Free. Either way its a beauty.
The Death of Pop
Further expert woozery produced by The Death of Pop, taken from 'Fifths' to be released by Art Is Hard on 28th July.

V E N N
New London band V E N N possess the kind of driving, krauty aesthetic which puts me in mind of the criminally underrated Working For A Nuclear Free City.

Default Genders
James Brooks, once of Elite Gymnastics, has produced strong work under his new moniker Default Genders. A full LP is now available via his Bandcamp.

Grudle Bay
We first featured 'Colder' by Grudle Bay last autumn, and this Dubwiser remix is both a nice reminder of that track and something very decent in its own right.
The Royal Landscaping Society
Fast becoming our house band, here is another one from The Royal Landscaping Society expertly remixed by I Am Dive, another Seville based outfit.

Guest Mix No 17 - Dream Curtain
We've been long time fans of Dream Curtain, since we heard the incredible double of 'This Landscape Is Our Escape' and 'Glowing'.
He released an excellent album 'Unknown Ends' earlier in the year and has now constructed a tasty guest mix for us.
Tracklist:
Molly Nilsson - Worlds Apart
Melody's Echo Chamber - You Won't Be Missing That Part Of Me
Angel Olsen - Iota (live in Stockholm)
Lower Dens - Two Cocks
Atlas Sound - Quick Canal (w. Lætitia Sadier)
Hundred Waters - Murmurs
Taken By Trees - Anna

Horsebeach
Finding that sweet spot where melancholy becomes uplifting, the wistful output of Horsebeach is spot on.

Guy Fox
Peculiar, jittering future pop from Guy Fox, which happens to be a band with zero members called Guy Fox. Simple.
Wednesday 9 July 2014
Atlas Murphy
We featured Atlas Murphy's collaboration with Zoo Brother back in February, 'Whatever' was the sound of an ice cream van which offers psychoactives alongside the Mr Whippy. Anyway as well as this collaboration, Atlas Murphy's solo output does its damnedest to reflect a stellar list of contemporary leftfield indie influences.

Wrinkles
The slackest of all slacker pop, Wrinkles sound like they've just about managed to stand up long enough to lay this massively endearing track down.
Attaque
Colchester producer Attaque has whipped up a twinkling storm on 'Only You' taken from his upcoming LP.
Tapes
An all too fleeting work out from Columbus producer Tapes. This one is addictive and demands repeated listens.
